UCB Excavation Reports

The U.C. Expedition, the largest single team participating
in the excavation, opened two areas of the site in 1986: Area F and Area G; a third in 1996: Area H; and a fourth in 1998: Area D1. The team suspended its work in 2006, ceding place (temporarily, we hope) to the University of Washington team. A brief summary of our discoveries:

Disclaimer

Following a decision by the Regents of the University of California to discontinue courses in all countries where a State Department Travel Advisory is in effect (http://travel.state.gov/travel/), U.C. Berkeley reluctantly has suspended its sponsorship of the Tel Dor Expedition until the Advisory for the State of Israel is lifted.   Until further notice, the University makes no representations about the safety of the Expedition, and does not recommend, approve, or endorse any courses of instruction associated with it.   U.C. students may still volunteer for the Expedition and enroll in its Field School, but if so, they do so as individuals and at their own risk; transfer credit may be arranged at the discretion of the departments concerned.
